Chapter 15 - Reading the Will
The funeral was a quiet, private affair attended only by Clara, Toby, and Arthur’s lawyers.
Clara refused to allow the greedy relatives to perform for the cameras at his grave.
The very next morning, the official reading of the will took place at the law firm.
Beatrice and Richard arrived with their own team of aggressive, high-priced attorneys.
Jonathan Vance sat at the head of the long conference table, unbothered by their glares.
“The last will and testament of Arthur Sterling is quite simple,” Jonathan began.
“He leaves his entire corporate holdings, liquid assets, and real estate to Clara Miller.”
Richard slammed his fist on the table.
“We are contesting this immediately based on undue influence and mental incompetence!”
Jonathan smiled calmly and pulled out a small flash drive.
“I anticipated that, which is why Mr. Sterling recorded a video message.”
He plugged it into the screen, and Arthur’s face appeared, looking sharp and lucid.
“If my children are watching this, it means they are trying to steal what is not theirs,” Arthur’s voice boomed.
“I underwent three independent psychiatric evaluations the week before I signed this will.”
“I am perfectly sane, and I despise you both for your greed.”
Beatrice’s jaw dropped in absolute horror.

“The lawyers will release all your embezzlement records to the authorities.”
