Marcus grabbed a tactical go-bag from beneath his bed, stuffing the laptop inside.

He threw a warm beanie over Leo's head and handed him a heavy winter jacket.

"We have to be ghosts, completely invisible to the bad guys."

Marcus recognized the synchronized tread of a police tactical unit.

Marcus led Leo toward the fire escape window at the back of the apartment.

A loud crash shook the apartment as the front door was kicked off its hinges.

"Clear the rooms!" a muffled voice shouted from the living room.

Marcus pushed Leo out onto the fire escape and climbed out after him.
