Chapter 15 - The Cartel Firefight

Bullets tore through the shipping containers, sparking violently in the dark.
Marcus stayed low on the crane, watching the criminals destroy each other.
Briggs dove behind a police SUV, blindly firing his weapon at the cartel members.
The cartel boss was gunned down by one of Briggs's loyal lieutenants.
The speedboat roared to life, the remaining cartel men abandoning the money to escape.
When the smoke finally cleared, only Briggs and two dirty cops were left standing.
Sirens began wailing in the distance, echoing across the icy water.
The FBI had seen the live stream and were swarming the harbor with armored vehicles.
Briggs looked around frantically, realizing his entire empire had collapsed in minutes.
He grabbed a duffel bag full of cash and sprinted toward a service access ladder.
He was trying to escape through the underground utility tunnels beneath the pier.

Marcus slung his rifle over his shoulder and rapidly descended the crane.
He wasn't going to let the captain walk away from this alive.
