Chapter 8 - The Breach

Richard had somehow utilized his dark web connections to uncover the exact geographic location of the Blackstone estate.
Loud, blaring sirens echoed through the massive mansion as heavy tactical SUVs violently breached the outer iron gates.
“We have to move you to the bunker, right now!” Gabriel shouted, grabbing my arm and pulling me swiftly toward the panic room.
I was breathing heavily, the intense stress causing sharp, terrifying pains to shoot across my pregnant belly.
“I am not running from him anymore,” I argued stubbornly, though I let Gabriel lead me down the hidden stone corridors.
Deafening gunfire echoed in the grand halls above us as elite Blackstone security violently clashed with Richard’s hired mercenary army.
Richard had clearly spent a massive fortune to hire a private tactical team, absolutely desperate to capture me before the FBI closed in on him.
We successfully reached the underground bunker, but the reinforced steel doors suddenly stopped halfway down their tracks.
The entire security system had been maliciously hacked from the inside of our own network.
