Chapter 10 - Early Labor

With Chloe safely captured, the violent tide of the battle above us rapidly began to turn in our favor.

Blackstone security flawlessly managed to neutralize the remaining mercenaries, completely securing the sprawling estate.

But I was suddenly doubled over in blinding pain, clutching my stomach as a warm rush of fluid soaked my expensive clothes.

“Gabriel… the baby is coming,” I gasped, my trembling knees completely buckling beneath my weight.

The intense stress and the massive dump of adrenaline had simply been far too much for my body to handle.

I was going into terrifyingly early labor at just barely thirty weeks pregnant.

The estate's private medical team rushed me frantically into the underground infirmary, prepping for an emergency delivery.

“You have to stay incredibly strong, Sarah,” Arthur said, holding my sweating hand as the doctors moved with chaotic urgency around me.

Every single contraction felt like a jagged knife twisting violently in my lower back.

But I pushed entirely through the agony, focusing my mind only on the innocent life fighting to survive inside me.

I absolutely refused to let Richard Mitchell steal my beautiful child's entire future.

After hours of excruciating, mind-numbing pain, a tiny, fragile cry beautifully echoed through the sterile medical room.
