Chapter 14 - Justice Served
"I have heard enough," the judge bellowed, glaring down at Eleanor.
"This is the most despicable case of maternal manipulation and fraud I have seen in my career."
The judge immediately threw out the custody case with prejudice.
But the nightmare was far from over for Eleanor.
The doors to the courtroom swung open, and three armed police detectives walked down the aisle.
"Eleanor Vance, you are under arrest for grand larceny, extortion, and financial fraud," the lead detective announced.
"No! You can't do this! Julian, tell them to stop!" Eleanor screamed, reaching her hands out toward her son.
Julian didn't even blink as he looked at her for the very last time.

The police slapped heavy metal handcuffs onto her wrists and dragged her out of the courtroom screaming.
