Chapter 19 - The Farm

Spring had arrived, painting the countryside in vibrant shades of green.

Elena drove her new truck up the long, winding dirt road.

She parked in front of a massive, beautifully renovated farmhouse.

Rosa was out in the garden, planting fresh tomatoes with a bright smile on her face.

Elena had bought the enormous property for her mother in full cash.

There were no mortgages, no fake smiles, and no toxic in-laws.

Rosa wiped the dirt from her hands and pulled Elena into a tight, warm hug.

"The harvest is going to be beautiful this year," Rosa said cheerfully.

"Yes, it is, Mom," Elena smiled, breathing in the fresh, clean air.

They walked inside to eat a meal prepared with love, not judgment.
