I turned my back on my father and walked away.
I didn't look back.

I drove straight to the hospital.

Using a portion of my mother’s trust, I had arranged to fund a new cardiac wing for pediatric and adolescent patients at Spokane General.
The very hospital that had saved my life.
Dr. Aris was waiting for me in the lobby, a massive smile on his face.
“Leo! Good to see you looking so healthy,” he shook my hand warmly.
“Good to be standing upright,” I joked.
We walked through the double doors, and I signed the final endowment papers.
