Chapter 4 - The Shark Attorney

I sat in a sleek, modern office overlooking the Chicago river, sipping a hot coffee.
Across from me sat Marcus Vance, the most ruthless and feared divorce attorney in the state.
Marcus was reviewing the USB drive I had given him, his eyes wide with genuine shock.
"Clara, this isn't just grounds for a divorce; this is a federal RICO case," Marcus whispered.
I smiled calmly, touching the bruised, purple skin on my swollen jawline.
"I want you to file the divorce papers immediately, and I want maximum damages for the assault," I stated.
Marcus nodded, typing rapidly on his laptop to begin drafting the aggressive legal documents.
I told him I wanted Julian to be left with absolutely nothing but the clothes on his back.
I wanted to legally strip them of their penthouse, their cars, and their false dignity.
Marcus warned me that Arthur Sterling was a dangerous man who would try to destroy my life.
I took another slow sip of my coffee, feeling an incredible surge of fearless power.
"Arthur is a billionaire bully who only has power because people are too afraid to fight back," I replied.
I explained that without his stolen money, Arthur was just a sad, angry old man.
Marcus printed out a massive stack of preliminary injunctions and handed me a pen.
I signed my name with bold, confident strokes, legally declaring war on the Sterling family.
The papers would be served to Julian and Arthur before the stock market even closed today.
