Chapter 4 - The Hidden Truth

Julian had installed a hidden nanny camera inside the eyes of a teddy bear sitting on the living room shelf.
He wanted to make sure we could monitor the baby from any room in the massive mansion.
Beatrice and Eleanor had absolutely no idea the camera even existed.
I logged into the encrypted application on my phone, my hands shaking uncontrollably.
I navigated to the date of the incident and pressed play.
The high-definition footage showed the entire dining room from a perfect, wide angle.
It clearly showed Eleanor grabbing the boiling teapot with a hateful sneer on her face.
It captured the exact moment she maliciously splashed the scalding liquid onto my pregnant belly.
"Oh my god," Mr. Sterling gasped, watching the unedited truth unfold on the small screen.
"This changes absolutely everything."
"This proves self-defense and exposes their entire live stream as a calculated fraud."
I handed the phone to the lawyer, a fierce determination replacing all my fear.
"I want them destroyed in court," I said, my voice cold and unwavering.
"I want you to let them lie under oath before you play this video."
Mr. Sterling smiled, a dangerous glint appearing in his sharp eyes.
"Consider it done," he promised.
