Returning to the estate took three days. With the Commission’s blessing, Damiano systematically rooted out every traitor on Renato’s payroll. It wasn't a war; it was a cleansing. Those who surrendered were banished. Those who fought were buried.

By the end of the week, the Hudson Valley estate was quiet once more. But this time, it was a different kind of quiet. The suffocating tension was gone.

Damiano stood by the arched window in his study, looking out over the river. The room had been scrubbed of his father’s ghost. The heavy leather chair was gone, replaced by a softer, more modern design.

The door opened behind him. Enzo stood there, looking exhausted but victorious.

"The final accounts have been seized, Boss. The cartel ties are severed. The family is entirely clean. Legal."

Enzo smiled faintly. "Understood, Boss."
