Someone inside my inner circle was feeding information directly to Julian to help him leverage his divorce strategy.
I set a trap, feeding three different pieces of fake information to my three top executives.
To my vice president, I casually mentioned a fake merger with a European rival.
To my head of logistics, I hinted at a massive layoff in the warehouse division.
And to my executive assistant, Sarah—a girl I had personally promoted—I mentioned a fake vulnerability in our offshore accounts.
Less than twenty-four hours later, Victoria, my shark attorney, called me with an update.
“Julian’s lawyer just filed an aggressive motion demanding access to your offshore accounts, citing recent vulnerabilities,” Victoria chuckled.
My heart sank, but my resolve hardened into steel.
It was Sarah, the young woman who brought me coffee every morning with a bright smile.
Julian had undoubtedly bought her loyalty, promising her a massive payout once he took my money.
