Chapter 16 - The Wedding Of The Decade

Six months later, the private estate of Sterling Enterprises in the Hudson Valley was transformed into a paradise of white orchids and crystal chandeliers.

The wedding was the social event of the decade, attended by Wall Street titans, international diplomats, and tech pioneers from around the globe.

Leo, looking handsome and proud in a tailored black tuxedo, walked Elena down the aisle of the grand glass pavilion overlooking the river.

Elena wore a custom Vera Wang gown made of ivory silk satin with a cathedral train, her chestnut hair styled into an elegant crown braided with real pearls.

She wore no glasses, no armor, and no camouflage; she radiated pure, undeniable confidence and breathtaking beauty for the entire world to see.

At the altar, Julian waited in a classic bespoke Tom Ford tuxedo, his midnight-blue eyes locked onto her with a fierce, possessive devotion that brought tears to the guests' eyes.

In the front row, Elena’s father sat in his customized wheelchair, beaming with pride as his daughter took the hand of the man who had helped heal their family.

“You look like a queen, Elena,” Julian whispered as she joined him at the altar, his hands trembling slightly as he took her fingers in his.

“I am marrying a king, Julian,” she replied softly, her hazel eyes shining with boundless love and excitement for their future.

The vows they exchanged were not traditional; they promised to challenge each other, to protect each other's dreams, and never to hide who they truly were.

When the priest finally pronounced them husband and wife, Julian didn't wait for permission; he pulled Elena into his arms and kissed her until the entire pavilion erupted into a standing ovation.

At the grand reception, Chloe from public relations raised her glass of champagne, shaking her head in awe as she watched the newlyweds dancing on the marble floor.

“To think she used to fetch his coffee,” Chloe whispered to a senior VP, smiling warmly.

“She never fetched coffee, Chloe,” the VP corrected softly, watching Elena laugh in Julian’s arms. “She was just waiting for the right moment to take over the world.”
