For three days, we sat in agonizing silence, waiting for the trap to snap shut. Isabella believed she had won. She even posted a smug photo on Instagram, sipping espresso on her balcony with the caption: “Resilience. Family always survives.”
Behind the scenes, Marcus’s contacts at the FBI had flagged the fraudulent deed transfer. They allowed the transaction to process just enough to create an irrefutable paper trail. The offshore syndicate received the documentation and, assuming they had legal claim, attempted to liquidate the asset.
