Chapter 6 - The Public Humiliation

The local news stations were already swarming the police precinct where Julian was being held.
My public relations team had anonymously leaked the pristine security footage to every major media outlet in the state.
The video went absolutely viral within an hour, spreading across Facebook, Twitter, and national television networks.
Millions of people watched in horror as a grown man violently shoved a heavy easel onto a seven-year-old girl.
The internet quickly dubbed him "The Banquet Bully," and the public backlash was incredibly swift and merciless.
People discovered his social media accounts and flooded his comment sections with pure, unfiltered rage.
His country club membership was revoked publicly on Twitter to appease the angry mobs demanding justice.
Even his favorite luxury car dealership banned him from their premises, refusing to associate with a known child abuser.
Julian finally posted bail late in the afternoon, stepping out of the police station in his wrinkled tuxedo.
He was immediately blinded by the flashing cameras and aggressive questions of thirty different reporters.
“Julian, why did you attack a little girl?!” one reporter screamed, shoving a microphone in his face.
“Did you really steal from your own fiancée to pay off gambling debts?!” another journalist shouted.
Julian tried to cover his face with his jacket, scurrying toward his mother’s waiting car like a frightened rat.
He looked completely pathetic, stripped of his arrogant smirk and his false sense of superiority.
I watched the live broadcast from the comfort of my penthouse, sipping a cup of expensive tea.
The court of public opinion had already convicted him, destroying his social standing forever.

But public humiliation was just the appetizer in my grand feast of revenge.
The actual criminal trial was approaching, and I was going to ensure the judge threw the absolute heaviest book at him.
