Chapter 7 - The Interrogation

The strike team was wiped out, but Silas had ordered Thorne to keep one man alive. The surviving Russian, bleeding heavily from a gunshot wound to the shoulder, was dragged into the basement interrogation room. He was strapped to a steel chair beneath a single, harsh lightbulb.
Silas entered the room, wiping blood from his face. Bane walked beside him, sitting calmly at Silas’s feet, though his eyes never left the bleeding man.
"How did you know she was here?" Silas asked, his voice dangerously calm. "My perimeter is locked down. My men don't leak. Yet you came directly for the house."
The Russian spat blood on the concrete floor, grinning darkly. "You think you're untouchable, Vance? You have a rat in your own walls. Someone gave us the exact layout, the patrol routes, everything. Volkov owns half your crew, you just don’t know it yet."
Silas didn't blink. He simply looked down at Bane. "Eat."

The Russian’s eyes went wide with terror as the massive dog rose to his feet, a low growl rumbling in his chest. "Wait! Wait! It was your tactical guy! Thorne! He took the payoff!"
Silas raised a hand, stopping Bane inches from the man. A cold fury washed over the crime boss. Thorne had been with him for five years. He was the one who found the flash drive in Elara's coat.
