Chapter 10 - Legacy Secured

It has been two years since the trial concluded.

The equestrian estate has never looked more vibrant or prosperous.

Elise did not let the trauma of her past break her spirit.

Instead, she threw herself entirely into learning the family business.

She manages the ledgers now, completely redesigning our breeding program to incredible success.

She is stronger, wiser, and more fiercely protective of this land than I ever was.

I am officially retired now, though I still wake up at dawn every morning to drink coffee on the porch.

I don't carry the heavy burden of the ranch anymore.

I gladly handed the keys over to my daughter, not because I was forced to, but because she earned them.

As I sit here watching Elise ride her favorite mare across the south pasture, I think about Eleanor.

I know she would be incredibly proud of the woman our daughter has become.
