Chapter 6 - The Boardroom Coup

Liam’s board of directors was furious with his absolute incompetence.
They called an emergency board meeting to discuss his removal as CEO.
Liam walked into the boardroom looking like a defeated, exhausted shell of a man.
"Gentlemen, I promise I can fix this supply chain issue," Liam begged the investors.
"You don't need to fix it, Liam, because you no longer run this company," a cold voice announced.
The boardroom doors opened, and I walked in wearing a sharp white power suit.
Arthur flanked my right side, carrying a thick briefcase full of legal documents.
"Nora? What are you doing here?" Liam gasped, standing up from his chair.
"I am here as the new majority shareholder of Sterling Innovations," I smiled sweetly.
"I bought up fifty-one percent of your company's debt and converted it into equity."
The board members looked at me with a mixture of fear and deep respect.
They knew the Vance name meant unlimited capital and ruthless efficiency.
"I am calling for an immediate vote to remove Liam Sterling from the position of CEO," I announced.
Every single hand in the room went up, except for Liam's.
He collapsed into his leather chair, tears streaming down his face.
"You took everything from me," he whispered brokenly.
"I just took back the time you wasted," I corrected him.
"Security, please escort the former CEO out of my building."

Liam was dragged out of his own company in front of all his employees.
He was carrying a cardboard box with a coffee mug and a picture of us that I had left behind.
