Chapter 20 - The Underworld King

On a warm summer morning, Camilla gave birth to a healthy baby boy. They named him Giovanni, after Matteo’s father.
The hospital room was overflowing with white orchids, a callback to their wedding day. Matteo sat by the bed, holding his newborn son in his massive, tattooed arms. The baby was incredibly small, fragile, and perfect.
Camilla watched them, exhausted but glowing with pure happiness.
"He has your eyes," she whispered.
"He has your heart," Matteo replied, kissing the baby’s forehead. "He will never know the violence we knew. He will be a king of a clean empire."
Dante knocked softly and entered the room, carrying a massive teddy bear that looked entirely ridiculous in the hands of a mafia enforcer. He placed it in the corner, offering a rare, genuine smile to the new parents.
"The city is quiet, Boss," Dante reported softly. "Everyone sends their respects."
"Let them know the Rossi family is complete," Matteo said, looking at his wife and son.
