Chapter 8 - The Destruction of Victoria Frost

By dawn the next morning, the grand Connecticut estate was swarming with flashing red and blue lights.

Dozens of federal agents and heavily armed police officers crowded the driveway, processing the massive crime scene.

Victoria was dragged out of the mansion in a pair of heavy steel handcuffs, surrounded by an army of reporters.

Julian had personally ensured that the press was tipped off, wanting the entire world to witness her humiliating downfall.

She hid her face behind her matted hair, crying hysterically as the cameras flashed like relentless lightning.

Her father had been arrested at his Virginia estate just an hour prior, his judicial career completely destroyed by Julian's leaked documents.

The Frost family name was officially synonymous with murder, corruption, and absolute disgrace.

Julian stood on the grand balcony of his mansion, watching the police cruiser carry the monster away forever.

Marcus stepped out onto the balcony, holding two cups of steaming black coffee.

"The district attorney said it is an ironclad case, boss," Marcus reported, handing Julian a cup.

"They have the wire transfers, the digital confessions, and the chemical evidence from the syringe."

"She is never seeing the sun again," Julian replied, taking a slow sip of the bitter coffee.

He felt a massive, crushing weight completely lift from his tired shoulders.

The darkness that had suffocated his home for fourteen agonizing months was finally gone.

He turned away from the balcony and walked back inside, heading straight toward the west wing.
