Chapter 5 - The Social Media War

By Wednesday, the shock had worn off, and Margaret’s rage had ignited.

She took to Facebook, posting a lengthy, tear-stained video to her hundreds of followers.

In the video, she claimed Arthur had suffered a mental breakdown, assaulted his father, and was trying to leave his poor, elderly parents homeless.

“We just wanted to celebrate family, and now he is destroying us,” she sobbed into the camera.

The video quickly went viral within their social circle, racking up angry comments directed at Arthur.

Several distant relatives bombarded Arthur’s email, calling him a disgrace to the family name.

Arthur did not reply to a single message.

Instead, he created a new post on his own social media pages.

He uploaded the silent, high-definition security footage from the patio, showing exactly what happened before the slap.

He added a simple caption: "This is what they call 'celebrating family'. My children are not your servants."

Within minutes, the tide of public opinion violently turned.

Friends and relatives who had just defended Margaret were horrified by the clear visual proof of child abuse.

The comments section on Margaret’s original video turned into an absolute bloodbath of people calling out her lies.

Humiliated and exposed, Margaret deleted her entire social media account within the hour.

The truth was a weapon they had never expected Arthur to wield.
