Chapter 4 - The Legal Shield

Arthur knew his family would not go down without a massive, dramatic fight.

He drove downtown to meet with his corporate attorney, a ruthless legal shark named Victoria.

He handed her the security footage from the patio, showing his children being forced to carry heavy trays while being mocked.

Victoria watched the video with a look of intense disgust wrinkling her sharp features.

“They recorded it themselves, too,” Arthur noted, pointing at the cousins holding up their phones in the background of the video.

“We need an immediate restraining order,” Victoria said, taking notes on her legal pad.

“I want a full no-contact order for myself and the children,” Arthur agreed.

Victoria smiled, a predatory gleam in her eyes.

“Since you own the condo they live in, and the cars they drive, we can legally repossess the vehicles today.”

Arthur nodded slowly, feeling a rush of grim satisfaction.

“Take the cars, take the country club memberships, cancel it all.”

They spent the next three hours drafting ironclad legal documents to sever every financial tie.

Arthur felt a massive weight lifting off his shoulders with every signature he penned.
