Chapter 1 - The Sirens of Justice

The piercing sound of police sirens shattered the quiet elegance of the Montgomery estate.

Red and blue lights flashed wildly against the towering glass windows of the grand ballroom.

Sarah, the young waitress still covered in dust and plaster, held the trembling little boy tightly in her arms.

Little Leo buried his tear-stained face into her cheap polyester catering uniform.

He was shaking violently, his tiny hands covered in scratches from clawing at the iron grate for three agonizing days.

Arthur Montgomery stood frozen, his heart breaking into a million pieces as he looked at his traumatized son.

He turned his furious gaze toward Isabella, who was now pinned against the marble wall by two police officers.

Her expensive designer dress was ruined, and her perfectly manicured face was contorted in pure, venomous rage.

"You cannot do this to me, Arthur!" Isabella screamed, thrashing against the officers' iron grip.

"I am a Montgomery, and I will destroy you and that pathetic little waitress for this!"

Arthur stepped forward, his voice terrifyingly calm and colder than a winter storm.

"You stopped being a part of this family the second you sealed my son behind that wall."

"Take this monster out of my sight before I do something the law will not forgive," Arthur ordered the police.

As they dragged Isabella away kicking and screaming, the grand ballroom fell into a heavy, suffocating silence.

Arthur slowly dropped to his knees in front of Sarah and his weeping son.

Tears streamed down the billionaire’s face as he reached out with trembling hands to touch Leo’s messy hair.

"I am so sorry, my brave boy," Arthur whispered, his voice cracking with unbearable guilt.

He then looked up at Sarah, seeing the exhaustion and fierce protection shining in her kind eyes.

"You risked everything to save him when you could have just walked away," Arthur said, his voice filled with awe.

"I meant what I said, Sarah... your life of struggling to survive ends today."
