The sun began to set over Rome, casting a golden glow across the estate.

They stood together on the balcony, looking out over their peaceful kingdom.

The days of hiding in the shadows and fearing for their lives were truly gone.

Elena leaned her head on Lorenzo's strong shoulder, feeling entirely safe.

She thought back to that fateful night under the crystal chandeliers.

A single slap had set off a chain reaction that burned down the old world.

Out of the ashes, she had forged a beautiful, unbreakable family.

Lorenzo kissed the top of her head, his grip tight and protective.

"What are you thinking about?" he asked softly into the evening breeze.

"I am thinking that Mr. Bear was right," Elena smiled warmly.

"About what?" Lorenzo asked, confused.

"You don't look angry anymore," she replied, kissing his jawline.

Lorenzo laughed, a rich, happy sound that echoed into the dusk.

"No, my love, I am not angry at all," he agreed.
