Chapter 19 - The Legacy Continues
Lorenzo chuckled, his deep voice vibrating against her chest.
"I have a surprise for you," she whispered, her eyes sparkling with joy.
He leaned back, looking at her with curious affection.
Elena took his large hand and placed it gently against her flat stomach.
Lorenzo's breath caught in his throat as the realization hit him.
"Are you saying...?" he trailed off, his eyes widening in pure shock.
Elena nodded, tears of happiness welling in her eyes.
"We are going to have a baby," she confirmed softly.
Lorenzo stood up, lifting her into the air and spinning her around the office.
He let out a shout of pure joy, sounding nothing like the ruthless mafia don he used to be.
He set her down and kissed her with entirely overwhelming tenderness.
"You have given me everything, Elena," he whispered against her lips.
"You gave me a family, a purpose, and a heart."
Maya ran into the office at that exact moment, carrying a new stuffed rabbit.
