Chapter 8 - The Reaper's Vengeance

The kiss changed everything between the dangerous mafia boss and the former maid.

It was a silent promise of absolute loyalty, love, and ruthless protection.

But Lorenzo knew he could not truly rest until the Rossi threat was completely wiped off the map.

He spent the next three days recovering, planning his revenge from his private war room.

The Rossi family thought they had heavily wounded the wolf, but they had only made him angrier.

On the fourth night, Lorenzo put on a fresh, tailored black suit.

He loaded his weapons with cold precision, his eyes devoid of any mercy.

"Where are you going?" Maria asked, standing in the doorway with little Lily asleep in her arms.

"I am going to make sure nobody ever makes you or this child afraid again," Lorenzo promised.

He kissed them both and walked out into the cool autumn night.

Lorenzo did not bring an army with him this time.

He took only Marco and three of his most lethal, silent assassins.

They slipped into the Rossi family's heavily fortified compound like shadows in the darkness.

There was no grand shootout, no loud explosions, and no chaotic warnings.

It was a surgical, terrifying purge of everyone who had plotted against the Duca family.

Before the sun rose, the Rossi syndicate had completely ceased to exist.

Lorenzo walked out of the enemy compound, lighting a cigar as the building burned behind him.
