Chapter 6 - Blood on the Asphalt

The shootout at the docks was a symphony of violence and flashing muzzle flares.

Lorenzo moved like a ghost through the rain, picking off Rossi's mercenaries one by one.

He was totally relentless, a man fighting for his right to return to his new, fragile family.

"Cover the left flank!" Lorenzo yelled over the deafening roar of gunfire.

Marco and the remaining Duca soldiers laid down heavy suppressive fire.

Lorenzo sprinted across the open asphalt, flanking the enemy's main machine-gun nest.

He eliminated three rival shooters in less than five seconds with perfect headshots.

Suddenly, a massive man stepped out from behind a burning truck, holding a shotgun.

It was Isabella Rossi's older brother, seeking revenge for his sister's ruined honor.

He aimed the heavy barrel directly at Lorenzo's chest and pulled the trigger.

Lorenzo dove sideways, but a piece of hot shrapnel tore deeply into his shoulder.

He grunted in intense pain, hitting the wet ground hard.

The Rossi brother stepped forward, laughing as he prepared to deliver the final, fatal shot.

Before he could pull the trigger, a black blur launched out of the shadows.

Pino had escaped the mansion and followed his master's convoy all the way to the docks.

The massive Doberman clamped his jaws onto the Rossi brother's arm, crushing the bone instantly.

Lorenzo used the distraction to draw his backup knife and finish the fight forever.

The dock suddenly fell silent, save for the crackling of the burning warehouses.
