Chapter 10 - The Mafia Boss's Family

One year later, the grand gardens of the Duca estate were completely transformed.

The area behind the trash cans, where Lily had once cried alone, was gone.

In its place stood a beautiful, massive wooden playground painted in bright, cheerful colors.

Hundreds of guests were gathered on the perfectly manicured lawn, dressed in their finest clothes.

There were no rival mafia bosses or dangerous syndicate leaders in the crowd today.

The guests were loyal friends, trusted staff members, and legitimate business partners.

At the front of the garden, standing under an archway of white roses, was Lorenzo.

He wore a pristine white tuxedo, looking incredibly handsome and genuinely happy.

The classical music swelled, and everyone stood up from their wooden chairs.

Maria walked down the aisle, looking like an absolute queen in her sparkling white wedding dress.

Walking right in front of her, tossing pink rose petals onto the grass, was four-year-old Lily.

Pino walked loyally beside the little girl, wearing a ridiculous but adorable tiny tuxedo collar.

Lorenzo took Maria's hands as she reached the altar, his eyes shining with pure devotion.

"I promise to protect you, cherish you, and love you for the rest of my days," Lorenzo vowed.

The priest pronounced them husband and wife, and the entire garden erupted in loud cheers.

Later that evening, Lorenzo officially signed the adoption papers, giving Lily his last name.

He picked his new daughter up, holding her close as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"You smell like coffee, Daddy," Lily whispered happily.

Lorenzo smiled, holding his family tight, knowing they would never have to cry alone again.
