"He recently took out a massive secondary insurance policy on his new wife's engagement ring and wedding gifts."
"He planned to claim that a thief targeted the wedding reception."
"He needed a scapegoat to make the police report look completely legitimate so he could collect the insurance money."
I felt a cold shiver run down my spine.
He had intentionally used my innocent daughter as a pawn in a pathetic insurance fraud scheme.
He knew my parents would instantly believe him and blame me.
He thought I would just quietly accept the blame, just like I had my entire life.
"We need to give this financial evidence to the prosecutor immediately," I told Sarah.
"This elevates his crime from simple assault to massive, premeditated criminal fraud."
Harrison wasn't just losing his reputation anymore.
He was looking at decades in a federal penitentiary.
When the prosecutor added the felony fraud charges to his indictment, Harrison's bail was immediately revoked.
