Chapter 7 - The Arrest of Olivia

Detective Ramirez walked up behind the federal agents, holding up a gleaming silver badge.
“Olivia Collins, you are under arrest for grand larceny, identity theft, and federal drug trafficking,” the detective announced loudly.
Olivia’s arrogant smirk instantly vanished, replaced by a mask of sheer, unadulterated panic.
“You have no proof!” she shrieked, struggling violently as the agents grabbed her arms.
“My husband is a drug addict! He framed me to save himself!”
I stepped forward, holding the silver flash drive high in the air for her to see.
“We found the dictionary, Olivia,” I said coldly, watching the color completely drain from her face.
She thrashed against the handcuffs, her perfectly styled hair falling into a messy, chaotic tangle.
“You ruined my life!” she screamed at me, her voice cracking with absolute desperation.
“No,” I replied, staring directly into the eyes of the monster who had tried to steal my son.
“You ruined your own life the moment you tried to tell my son not to call me Mom.”
The police dragged her away, her humiliated cries echoing loudly through the massive airport terminal.
