Chapter 6 - The Fall of the Traitors

The next twenty minutes were a masterclass in pure, brutal, unadulterated tactical warfare.
Julian moved completely silently like a terrifying ghost, eliminating the hostile mercenaries one by painful one.
He dropped aggressively from the dark ceiling beams, using lethal close-quarters combat to break necks and completely shatter bones.
Roman fiercely covered his right flank, laying down heavy suppressing fire that tore through the expensive plaster walls.
The expensive marble floors quickly became incredibly slick with hot, dark red blood.
Silas watched in absolute, paralyzing horror as his highly expensive strike team was systematically slaughtered by just two heavily armed men.
Panic completely overtook the treacherous second-in-command as he realized he was rapidly losing his brutal coup.
Silas desperately turned and sprinted wildly toward the back patio doors, desperately trying to escape into the thick, dark woods.
Julian stepped smoothly out from behind a shattered marble pillar, leveling his heavy gun directly at Silas's retreating back.
"Running away from a fight, brother?" Julian's deep voice boomed terribly across the ruined, silent room.
Silas froze completely, slowly dropping his heavy weapon and turning around with his hands raised high in the air.
"Julian, please, we can heavily negotiate this like civilized businessmen," Silas begged pathetically, his false bravery totally gone.

"You locked a five-year-old child's mother in a freezing tomb, Silas," Julian stated coldly, stepping slowly toward him.
"There are absolutely no negotiations left for a cowardly, pathetic animal like you."
