To destroy Marcus, they needed to see exactly what he had been hiding. Sterling initiated a forensic audit of all marital assets.
What they found made Sarah physically sick.
Marcus hadn't just been having a casual affair. He had been funding Jessica’s lifestyle for two years. But it was the source of the funds that crossed the line from infidelity to pure evil.
"He drained the 529 College Savings Plan," Sterling explained, pointing to a spreadsheet. "He took the money you had been saving for Leo’s education and used it to pay the down payment on a luxury townhouse for Jessica."
But there was more.
"Look at this," Sterling tapped a line item. "He also added Chloe to his premium corporate health insurance plan by claiming her as a dependent stepchild, which means he committed insurance fraud. That’s why the ER took her so fast. Her premium insurance flagged her as a VIP."

"Draft the papers," Sarah whispered. "Freeze everything."
