Chapter 18 - The Verdict

The incredibly tense jury deliberation shockingly lasted less than four incredibly short hours before they formally announced they had reached a massive, final verdict.

The entire, heavily packed courtroom fell into an absolutely dead, highly suffocating silence as the stern judge carefully read the final, heavy legal documents.

Liam violently trembled in his seat, desperately gripping the edge of the heavy wooden table until his pale knuckles turned completely, entirely white.

"On the massive federal charge of conspiracy to commit premeditated murder, we absolutely find the defendant completely, entirely guilty," the jury foreman announced loudly.

Liam violently let out a terrifying, incredibly pathetic gasp, physically collapsing heavily backward directly into his hard wooden chair in sheer, absolute horror.

"On the massive federal charges of severe insurance fraud and extreme domestic battery, we completely absolutely find the defendant completely guilty."

The stern, highly unforgiving judge aggressively banged his heavy wooden gavel, demanding absolute order in the incredibly chaotic, loudly screaming courtroom.

"Given the absolute, highly terrifying severity of these heinous crimes against your own wife, I am handing down the maximum legal sentences," the judge boomed.

He aggressively sentenced Liam to exactly forty-five incredibly long years in a maximum-security federal prison, completely without the absolute possibility of early parole.

Heavy, heavily armed bailiffs aggressively rushed forward, forcefully grabbing the violent, screaming criminal and aggressively dragging him completely out of the shocked courtroom.

I watched him completely disappear through the heavy wooden doors, feeling absolutely no sympathy for the terrible monster who had violently ruined my life.

The incredibly massive, entirely terrifying weight of my painful, highly abusive past was completely, permanently lifted entirely from my tired, healing shoulders.
