Chapter 8 - The Queen Reclaims Her Throne

Marcus tried to step backward, but Julian’s massive security guards had already quietly moved to block every possible exit.
“Clara...” Marcus whispered, his voice cracking violently in pure terror.
“It is a complete miracle... we thought you were dead.”
Clara looked at him with an expression of absolute, unadulterated disgust.
“You did not think I was dead, Marcus,” Clara said loudly, ensuring every single influential person in the room heard her clearly.
“You knew exactly where I was, because you helped Victoria Sterling put me in a cage inside my own basement.”
The crowd erupted into frantic, horrified whispers, completely shocked by the massive scandal unfolding before their eyes.
Marcus began to panic, wildly waving his hands in a pathetic attempt to deflect the undeniable truth.
“Julian, this is insane!” Marcus yelled desperately, looking around for anyone to support him.
“She is clearly unwell, she is deeply traumatized, and making up completely wild accusations!”
Julian did not say a word; he simply pulled his phone from his pocket and pressed a single button on the screen.
The massive digital projector behind the stage flared to life, illuminating the entire wall with undeniable evidence.
The screen displayed highly classified bank records, emails between Marcus and Victoria, and the exact coordinates of the stolen money.
“Ten minutes ago, you attempted to move two hundred million dollars to a Swiss account from your car laptop,” Julian announced coldly.
“Instead, my team completely intercepted the transfer and returned every single penny to my wife's legal accounts.”
Marcus staggered completely backward, realizing that his entire life, his career, and his freedom were officially over.
“You have absolutely nothing left, Marcus,” Julian stated, his voice completely devoid of any mercy.
The heavy double doors of the ballroom suddenly burst open, and a dozen armed federal agents stormed into the room.
They marched directly toward Marcus, aggressively twisting his arms behind his back and snapping heavy steel handcuffs onto his wrists.
Marcus began to sob uncontrollably, begging Julian for mercy as the agents dragged him forcefully across the marble floor.
Clara stood tall, watching the man who had destroyed her life being completely publicly humiliated and ruined.
She turned to face the shocked crowd of elites, her crimson gown completely commanding the massive room.
“I am Clara Vance, and I have finally returned to my home,” she declared firmly, completely reclaiming her stolen identity.

Julian pulled her tightly against his side, wrapping his strong arm protectively around her waist as the crowd erupted into applause.
They had faced the absolute darkest depths of human greed and cruelty, and they had survived to completely destroy their enemies.
