Chapter 7 - The Cousins' Karma

The destruction of Richard and Margaret’s empire was only the first part of Arthur’s calculated revenge.
He had not forgotten about the arrogant cousins who had stood around laughing and filming his children.
Their entire luxurious lifestyle was funded by a massive family trust that Richard had established decades ago.
However, when Arthur completely took over the holding company, he gained full administrative control over the trust fund structure.
Arthur scheduled a mandatory family meeting at his own downtown law office the following Monday.
Five of his cousins showed up, wearing designer clothes and looking incredibly nervous as they sat in the sleek conference room.
Arthur walked into the room, holding a single digital tablet.
"Let's make this quick," Arthur announced, not bothering to sit down.
"As the new majority controller of the family assets, I have conducted a thorough audit of your trust disbursements."
"None of you have held a real job in over five years, yet you withdraw millions annually for luxury cars and European vacations."
A cousin named Bradley sneered, crossing his arms defensively.
"That money belongs to us, Arthur, you can't touch it."
Arthur tapped the screen of his tablet with a cold smile.
"Actually, the bylaws clearly state that disbursements can be frozen if the company's financial stability is threatened."
"Since Richard drove the company into massive debt, all trust funds are officially frozen indefinitely."
Bradley jumped out of his chair, his face red with panic.
"You can't do that, my rent is due next week, and I have a lease on a Ferrari!" Bradley yelled.
"Then I suggest you buy a very comfortable pair of walking shoes and start printing your resume," Arthur replied smoothly.

"Consider this a necessary lesson in hard work, something my children already understand far better than you."
Arthur walked out of the conference room, leaving his completely ruined cousins screaming at each other in panic.
