Chapter 12 - Fire on the Water

The South Boston docks were eerily quiet at 2:00 AM. A thick fog rolled off the ocean, obscuring the shipping containers. Ramon’s weapons shipment had arrived early that evening, heavily guarded by Iron Skulls.
Julian stood in the shadows of a crane, Silvio and Dante flanking him.
"Light it up," Julian ordered into his radio.
A series of silenced gunshots took out the perimeter guards. Then, a massive explosion rocked the docks. Plumes of orange fire shot into the night sky as the shipping containers holding Ramon’s illegal weapons cache went up in flames.
Sirens wailed in the distance. The Iron Skulls panicked, scrambling to save the merchandise, but the heat was too intense.
Within minutes, a black SUV sped onto the pier. Ramon Castillo leaped out, staring at the burning millions in horror. "No! Put it out! Put it out!"
Julian stepped out of the shadows, the firelight dancing in his cold eyes. "I’m afraid that’s impossible, Ramon."
Ramon spun around, drawing his gun, but Silvio and Dante already had laser sights on his chest. Ramon sneered, "Vargas. You think burning my guns ends this? I’ll buy more. I’ll burn your casinos. I’ll find that baker and her brat and—"

Before Ramon could finish the sentence, Julian raised his weapon and fired a single shot. Ramon dropped to the concrete, clutching his knee, screaming in agony.
"You don't talk about them," Julian said quietly, walking toward the fallen boss.
