Chapter 10 - Epilogue

It was a freezing December evening, exactly a decade after that fateful night.
Julian and I stood in the middle of Grant Park, our breath visible in the cold air.
The wind howled through the barren trees, just as it had all those years ago.
But this time, we were wrapped in thick, warm cashmere coats.
We stood by the Buckingham Fountain, staring at the exact spot where we first met.
“Do you ever think about what would have happened if you walked away?” Julian asked softly.
He leaned slightly on his cane, though his legs had grown much stronger over the years.
I shook my head, looping my arm through his.
“I could never walk away from trouble that cries,” I smiled.
We heard the crunch of snow behind us and turned to see Arthur walking toward us.
He held two cups of steaming hot chocolate, handing one to each of us.
“What are my two favorite executives doing freezing out here?” Arthur chuckled.
“Just remembering how lucky we are, Dad,” I replied, taking a sip of the warm cocoa.
He wrapped his arms around our shoulders, pulling us into a tight family embrace.
The city lights sparkled brilliantly against the dark winter sky.
