Chapter 9 - Rebuilding

A year passed since the trial, and the nightmare slowly faded into a bad memory.
I sold the house I had shared with Tyler and bought a beautiful cottage near the coast with Julian’s parents.
They had welcomed Rose and me with open arms, overjoyed to have a piece of their son back.
Rose was a happy, thriving toddler now.
She had Julian’s bright green eyes and my stubborn chin.
My father visited every weekend, acting as the ultimate doting grandfather.
He had finalized his divorce from my mother and seemed ten years younger without her toxic influence weighing him down.
Madison occasionally sent letters from her assisted living facility.

The Facebook page quickly grew to over ten thousand members.

I used my platform to help others recognize the signs of manipulation.
