Chapter 6 - The Shattered Glass

Chaos erupted.

The sophisticated facade of the billionaire wedding completely dissolved. Guests were standing up, whispering frantically. Eleanor was screeching at the wedding planner to cut the microphones and clear the area.

"Tristan!" Sloane screamed, whirling around to face her groom. "You told me you didn't have any children! You told me you couldn't have children!"

"I didn't know!" Tristan yelled back, tears streaming down his face as he walked toward them. He looked at Maya, his eyes begging for mercy. "Maya, I swear to God, I didn't know."

"Of course you didn't," Maya said, her voice laced with cold pity. "Because the moment your mother convinced you that my body was defective, you abandoned me. You didn't even bother to call when I packed my bags."

"That's a lie!" Eleanor shrieked, marching down the aisle, her face twisted in rage. "She's a gold digger! She hid this pregnancy to extort us! Those medical tests proved she was unfit!"

Maya stood up, her presence commanding the attention of every person in the garden.

"Let's talk about those medical tests, Eleanor," Maya said, reaching into Alexander’s suit jacket and pulling out a folded piece of paper. "Because I had them redone by an independent specialist during my pregnancy."

Maya held up the paper.

"Tristan has a minor motility issue. I had a slight hormonal imbalance. Neither of us were infertile. But you bribed Dr. Evans to exaggerate the results so you could convince your son to throw me away."

The silence that followed was absolute.
