Chapter 10 - A Legacy of Strength

Three years later, I stood on a massive wooden stage in front of a cheering crowd.
I was officially announcing my candidacy for the State Attorney General.
Liam was sixteen now, standing tall and proud in the front row, clapping louder than anyone else.
He had grown into a brilliant, empathetic young man, completely untouched by the poison of his father's legacy.
I looked out at the sea of faces, feeling a profound sense of gratitude.
"We live in a society where power is often confused with money," I spoke into the microphone.

"True power is found in the courage to stand up to bullies, no matter how much money they have."
The crowd erupted into applause.

As the rally concluded, I walked off the stage and wrapped my arms tightly around my son.
We walked out of the auditorium together, stepping into a bright, beautiful future.
The scars of the past were still there, but they were no longer a source of pain.
