Chapter 6 - The Ironclad Will

The following morning, Marcus sat in the sleek, glass-walled conference room of his legal team.

His primary attorney, David, handed him a thick stack of legal documents to review.

"We have completely restructured your estate planning, just as you requested," David confirmed, adjusting his glasses.

"Your parents, Richard and Margaret, are explicitly excluded from receiving any assets, properties, or funds upon your passing."

Marcus nodded in approval as he flipped through the complicated legal jargon.

"Furthermore, we have established ironclad trusts for Chloe, Leo, and Ethan," David continued.

"If anything happens to you, your sister-in-law will have full guardianship, and your parents will have zero legal rights to even request visitation."

"Perfect," Marcus said, signing the documents with a heavy, gold pen.

"I also looked into your parents' financial situation as part of the background check," the lawyer added cautiously.

"It is much worse than you thought, Marcus."

David slid a separate folder across the polished mahogany table.

"They have secretly taken out multiple high-interest loans using the equity of the home you were paying for."

"Without your monthly deposits, they will be completely bankrupt and evicted within thirty days."

Marcus stared at the numbers, realizing the true depth of their reckless greed.

"They dug their own grave," Marcus said quietly, closing the folder and handing it back.

"Let them fall."
