By noon, the situation had escalated far beyond a private family dispute.
Marcus was sitting in his home office when his executive assistant called him in a panic.
"Sir, you need to check Facebook and TikTok right now," she urged, her voice trembling.
"One of your younger cousins uploaded a video of the incident at the party last night."
Marcus opened his laptop and searched for his own name on the social media platforms.
The video was already the top trending post, boasting over five million views in just a few hours.
It showed the heartbreaking footage of the children struggling with the heavy trays while the adults laughed.
Then, it showed Marcus rushing in, throwing the brilliant kick, and exposing his parents' financial lies.
The comments section was completely united in absolute outrage against Richard and Margaret.
"Who treats their own grandchildren like that?" one top comment read.
"The dad is a hero for cutting them off, let those boomers go broke!" read another.
Marcus leaned back in his chair, a small, satisfied smile playing on his lips.
He had not intended for this to become a public spectacle, but he wasn't going to stop it either.
His phone buzzed with a text message from an unknown number.
It was his cousin, begging for forgiveness and asking for a loan because he had just been fired after his boss saw the video.
