Chapter 8 - The Truth Unveiled

Leah left without a fight, moving into a cheap motel on the outskirts of the city, her heart shattered.
For three days, Caleb drowned himself in work and scotch. But Evelyn refused to let it go.
"You are a fool, Caleb," Evelyn told him, striking her cane against the floor. "That girl has a soul of pure gold. You are letting your paranoia destroy the best thing that ever happened to you."
Driven by his mother’s certainty, Caleb ordered a deep forensic dive into the leaked photos. His head of security, Marcus, walked into his office late Thursday night.
"Boss, the photos are real, but the context was manipulated. We tracked the wire transfer that paid the tabloid to run the story. It didn't come from Sterling."
Caleb reviewed the file. The money trail led through a dozen dummy corporations, finally landing on a single offshore account.
Marcus and Seraphina.
His exiled step-brother had hired Leah’s estranged father, paid him to stage the meeting, and leaked the photos to break Caleb’s heart.
