Chapter 10 - A Flawless Future

Three years later.
The sprawling gardens of the Sterling estate were in full bloom, decorated with thousands of fairy lights and white roses.
Leo, Silas, and Finn were three years old—rambunctious, brilliant, and fiercely loved. They were running across the manicured lawn in matching little tuxedos, chasing the family’s golden retriever.
I stood on the marble terrace, holding a glass of vintage champagne. I was the CEO of Sterling Global’s philanthropic arm, a billionaire in my own right, and a mother who had fought through hell to give her children the world.
Strong arms wrapped around my waist from behind, pulling me against a warm, broad chest.
“They are going to exhaust the dog before the ceremony even starts,” a deep, melodic voice murmured in my ear.
I leaned back against Dr. Evan Hayes. Evan had been the attending pediatrician the week my boys were in the NICU. He had witnessed Julian’s cruelty firsthand and had quietly checked in on me every day after. Over the past three years, his gentle kindness and unwavering support had healed the final cracks in my heart. He loved my boys as if they were his own, and he loved me with a fierce, protective devotion that I never knew existed.
“Let them run,” I laughed, turning to kiss him. “They have endless energy.”
Evan smiled, resting his forehead against mine. “Are you ready to do this, Mrs. Hayes?”
I looked down at the massive diamond on my left hand. Today was our wedding day. There were no secrets, no hidden agendas, no mistresses with fake designer bags. There was only truth, respect, and absolute, flawless love.

“I’ve never been more ready in my life,” I whispered.
I took his hand, and together, we walked down the terrace stairs toward our family, leaving the ghosts of the past permanently buried in the dust. My boys ran toward us, laughing in the sunlight, and I knew that this time, my happily ever after was beautifully, unconditionally real.
