Chapter 4 - The Viral Fallout

By the time the sun began to set, the situation had escalated far beyond the borders of Savannah.

Liam’s phone had been buzzing relentlessly for hours, and he finally turned it off and tossed it onto the sofa.

“You might want to see this, Maya,” Eleanor said, walking into the room with her tablet in hand.

She placed the screen on the coffee table in front of me.

Someone in the third row of the chapel had recorded the entire confrontation on their smartphone.

The video clearly captured Chloe’s vicious demand, Eleanor’s stunning rebuke, and Liam’s dramatic exit.

It had been uploaded to a local gossip page on Facebook and had already amassed over two million views.

“Oh my god,” I breathed, watching my sister's true colors being broadcast to the entire world.

The comment section was a war zone, and every single person was tearing Chloe apart.

People were calling her a monster, a narcissist, and the worst bride in history.

“She brought this upon herself, Maya,” Eleanor reminded me gently, seeing the guilt flicker in my eyes.

“You cannot shield her from the consequences of her own actions forever.”

Suddenly, my own cell phone began to ring.

It was my mother.

I stared at the caller ID, my heart pounding heavily against my ribs.

“You don't have to answer that,” Liam said, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder.

I took a deep breath and swiped the green button to accept the call.

“Maya! You need to fix this right now!” my mother’s panicked voice screamed through the speaker.
