Chapter 9 - The Final Ruin

The silence in the grand office was heavy, suffocating, and utterly complete.

The video looped, showing Chloe planting the stolen watch a second time, magnifying her guilt.

Richard Vance stared at the screen, his mouth hanging open in sheer disbelief at his daughter's profound stupidity.

"Filing a false police report is a serious crime, Miss Vance," Julian noted, his voice devoid of any pity.

"Attempting to frame an innocent man for a felony is even worse."

Chloe collapsed into one of the expensive leather chairs, covering her face as ugly, desperate sobs racked her body.

"I just wanted to fix it!" she cried wildly. "I wanted to prove he was a bad person so you would forgive us!"

Julian leaned forward, resting his elbows on the polished desk, his eyes burning with intense anger.

"You truly believe that destroying an innocent man's life is a viable solution to your problems," Julian observed coldly.

"That entitlement is exactly why your family is currently losing everything."

Richard stepped forward, looking like a broken, defeated shadow of the arrogant man he had been that morning.

"Please, Julian, I am begging you," Richard pleaded, his voice cracking.

"Don't show this to the police, she won't survive in jail."

Julian looked at the pathetic billionaire, feeling absolutely nothing but disgust.

"The police are already waiting downstairs, Richard."

"And as for your company, the forensic auditors have already found three million dollars in fraudulent charges."

"Your empire is gone, your wealth is gone, and your reputation is entirely decimated."

Julian stood up, adjusting his immaculate suit jacket with precise, fluid motions.

"Get them out of my sight," Julian ordered his security team.

Chloe kicked and screamed as she was dragged out of the office, but her shrieks fell on completely deaf ears.

The mighty Vance family had been utterly destroyed by their own toxic arrogance, brought down in a single day.
