Chapter 10 - The Aftermath and Reward

The grand lobby of the Azure Resort was peaceful and quiet once again the following morning.

The marble floors sparkled brilliantly under the massive crystal chandeliers.

Elias arrived for his shift, expecting to go back to his usual post by the service elevators.

Instead, he was met by the head of security, who handed him a brand new, sharply tailored black suit.

"Mr. Sterling wants you stationed directly outside the executive penthouse from now on," the manager smiled.

"You've been promoted to his personal protection detail, complete with a terrifyingly large salary increase."

Elias was completely stunned, tears of pure gratitude welling in his young eyes as he thought of his mother's medical bills finally being paid.

Meanwhile, up in the private dining room, Arthur was enjoying a massive plate of pancakes with his grandson.

"You were a bit harsh on them, Jules," Arthur chuckled, pouring warm syrup over his breakfast.

"They deserved far worse for trying to humiliate you, Grandfather," Julian replied fiercely.

Arthur reached across the table and patted Julian's hand affectionately.

"Money and power reveal exactly who a person truly is," Arthur said softly.

"It revealed that Chloe Vance was a cruel, empty shell of a human being."

"But it also revealed that you are still the fiercely protective, good-hearted boy I raised."

Julian smiled warmly, the icy CEO persona melting away entirely in the presence of his grandfather.

Downstairs, Elias adjusted his new earpiece, standing tall and proud in his new position.

He watched a new wave of wealthy guests enter the hotel, completely unafraid of their money or their attitudes.

He knew now that true power didn't come from a trust fund or a designer dress.

True power came from doing the right thing, especially when it was hard.

And as long as Julian and Arthur Sterling were running the show, justice would always be served.
