Chapter 9 - The Walk of Shame

The heavy, digital lobby clock perfectly struck exactly five o'clock in the early morning.

The massive, terrifying thunderstorm outside had finally broken, leaving behind a cold, heavily unforgiving dawn.

"It is officially time for you to completely leave my property, Julian," I stated firmly.

"The exact same elite guards you aggressively ordered to ruthlessly drag me out will now absolutely return the specific favor."

Julian looked completely dead inside, entirely hollowed out by his own massive, catastrophic greed.

Two incredibly large, highly intimidating security officers grabbed Julian aggressively by his expensive, ruined suit jacket.

They violently and forcefully hauled him entirely to his shaking feet.

They aggressively dragged the sobbing, totally broken man forcefully across the pristine, heavily polished marble floor.

The entire resort staff, who had previously watched my massive humiliation in absolute silence, now stood entirely watching his ultimate, complete downfall.

They did not show him a single ounce of human pity.

The heavy glass doors violently opened, completely exposing him to the brutal, freezing morning air.

Julian and Chloe were violently shoved completely out onto the hard, cold, wet concrete curb.

Just minutes later, two loud, brightly flashing federal police cruisers heavily pulled perfectly into the grand driveway.

Julian was violently and aggressively pushed forcefully against the heavy hood of the police car.

Cold, hard steel handcuffs were aggressively snapped completely tightly around his shaking, totally powerless wrists.

He desperately looked up at me one final, pathetic time through the heavy, falling rain.

I simply turned my perfectly straight back, entirely refusing to give him even a single second more of my valuable time.

I completely walked back inside my absolute, incredibly beautiful, entirely secure fortress.
