Chapter 5 - The Lobby Encounter

Julian had finally managed to forcefully take the emergency service stairs all the way down to the grand lobby.

He was heavily sweating, his expensive designer suit heavily wrinkled, and his arrogant face bright red with sheer rage.

He aggressively marched directly toward the front desk, completely ready to violently scream at anyone in his path.

"Where is Harrison?!" Julian violently roared, violently slamming his heavy fists against the pristine marble counter.

"I demand to speak to the general manager right this very second!"

Mr. Harrison calmly stepped out from the back office, completely flanked by two massive, unsmiling security guards.

"You loudly demanded to see me, Mr. Vance?" Harrison asked, his voice completely devoid of its usual, subservient respect.

"Why the hell is my elite keycard suddenly deactivated?!" Julian demanded furiously.

"And why are my personal bank accounts completely frozen?!"

Before Mr. Harrison could even verbally answer, the massive glass doors of the grand resort violently swung open.

The freezing wind and heavy rain aggressively howled as I confidently stepped back into the exact lobby I was thrown out of just hours ago.

I was perfectly flanked by twelve massive corporate security officers and four heavily armed, elite lawyers.

Julian completely froze, his angry eyes going totally wide with absolute, unadulterated shock.

"What the hell are you doing back here, Clara?" Julian hissed aggressively.

"I explicitly told my guards to permanently ban you from this entire property!"

I completely ignored him and calmly walked directly toward the center of the massive, breathtaking room.

Chloe had just stepped out of a separate elevator, finally coming downstairs to frantically search for Julian.

She abruptly stopped completely dead in her tracks when she saw my massive, highly intimidating entourage.

"You do not give orders here anymore, Julian," I said softly, my clear voice echoing powerfully through the silent, tense lobby.

"In fact, you never actually had the true power to give any orders at all."

Julian let out a loud, highly patronizing laugh, desperately trying to maintain his fake dominance.

"Are you completely drunk, Clara?" he mocked loudly.

"I own absolutely every single brick of this massive building!"

I simply smiled coldly, perfectly signaling my lead attorney to step forward.
