Chapter 6 - The Unraveling

The very next morning, my new burner phone aggressively buzzed with a massive breaking alert from the local city news website I had intentionally subscribed to.

The main headline proudly displayed in incredibly bold, black letters absolutely made my entire morning: "Prominent Local Accountant Investigated for Massive Corporate Fraud."

The highly detailed, completely anonymous tip I had carefully submitted to the federal authorities alongside the encrypted flash drive data had already triggered a massive raid.

I eagerly watched a live video feed of stern, highly aggressive FBI agents carrying dozens of heavy cardboard boxes directly out of Arthur's incredibly expensive downtown firm.

Arthur was aggressively escorted entirely out of the beautiful glass building in cold, heavy steel handcuffs, his normally arrogant face completely pale and utterly terrified.

He desperately tried to cover his humiliated face with his incredibly expensive suit jacket as the aggressive paparazzi violently flashed their incredibly bright cameras at him.

I slowly sipped my hot, delicious coffee, feeling an incredible, completely unfamiliar warmth completely flooding through my tired, violently battered body.

He had absolutely always treated me like a pathetic, entirely invisible disappointment, but I was the exact person who finally put him in a federal prison.

My incredibly quiet, deeply satisfying celebration was suddenly interrupted by a frantic, highly unexpected knock on the heavy wooden door of my cheap motel room.

I cautiously approached the small peephole, my heart violently skipping a terrified beat when I clearly saw Jason pacing nervously in the dirty, incredibly dim hallway.

His arrogant face was still terribly red and violently swollen from the incredibly strong pepper spray I had aggressively used on him during Thanksgiving night.

He aggressively pounded his heavy, massive fist against the cheap wooden door, screaming my name in a highly panicked, desperately cracking voice that echoed loudly.

"Sarah, I absolutely know you are in there, please open this damn door right now!" he begged desperately, sounding completely, entirely terrified for his life.

I absolutely didn't make a single, tiny sound, actively choosing to stand perfectly, incredibly still in the dark room like a completely silent, invisible ghost.

"The violent loan sharks completely came to the house last night and violently threatened to brutally break both of my legs, Sarah!" he sobbed incredibly loudly.

He was completely, utterly falling apart, finally realizing that his massive, completely unearned wealth had suddenly transformed into a terrifying, deadly target heavily painted on his back.

"They absolutely know about the massive property deed, and they are violently threatening to aggressively foreclose on the house if I don't completely pay them today!"

I smiled incredibly coldly in the dark, absolutely thrilled that the highly dangerous men had moved so incredibly fast to violently collect his massive debts.

He violently kicked the heavy door one last time before finally completely giving up, aggressively storming entirely down the hallway in complete, utter defeat.

I calmly walked directly back to my small, incredibly uncomfortable bed, absolutely knowing that his terrifying, incredibly violent nightmare was honestly only just getting started.
